Greater Media Inc, has an opening for Accounting Administrative Assistant at our Corporate Office in Braintree, Ma. Reporting to the CFO, the Accounting Administrative Assistant will assist with certain accounting-related functions within the corporate accounting and finance department. The position will also provide administrative support for the Chief Financial Officer and other members of the department. Responsibilities includes: Provide assistance with certain accounting functions including: preparing and mailing invoices and responding to related inquires, assisting with the daily cash reconciliation, initiating internal funds transfers and outgoing wire transfers, serving as back-up for the processing of accounts payable and cash receipts, and assisting with the review of certain work papers and reconciliations. Provide administrative assistance to all members of the corporate accounting and finance team including: preparation of reports, distribution and filing of correspondence and reports, photocopying, travel arrangements, preparation of certified and overnight mailings, preparation of audit-related confirmations, serving as back-up for the telephone switchboard, and assisting with the completion of governmental surveys. Perform other support functions for the Chief Financial Officer including: sorting mail, answering telephone, assistance with meeting scheduling and travel arrangements, preparation of PowerPoint presentations, and administration of corporate credit cards. Qualifications to include Minimum of three years experience in similar position required. Four year accounting degree not necessary, but prior bookkeeping or accounting support experience and aptitude is essential. Knowledge of Great Plains general ledger and accounts payable systems or Treasury Manager cash management software would be a plus. Strong working knowledge of all components of the MS Office product suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is essential. Excellent communication and problem solving skills are a must. In addition to these technical skills, must be a team player who works well with others and enjoys involvement in a diverse set of job responsibilities.
